đ ď¸Why I Built Prep2Survive
The Turning Point.
Hi, Iâm Shelby Dart.
YepâDart, like the car. Married into it. I guess you could say I was built for speed and survival.
But letâs rewind. A few years ago, I was âretiredââwhatever that means. Life was good. Then came Stage 4 cancer. Everything stopped. My body, my plans, my confidence. I survived, thank God. But surviving did something else tooâit made me think about legacy.
And I didnât want cancer to be mine.
I needed purpose. Something to shake me out of the fog. Something that mattered. Thatâs when I realized: the worldâs a little nuts (OK, a lot), and most people arenât ready for even a basic power outage. Not because theyâre lazyâbut because prepping is usually presented like youâre joining a tactical cult or building a bunker in your backyard.
Thatâs not me. Thatâs not most people I know. And thatâs definitely not how prepping should be.
So, I built Prep2Survive for us. For the everyday woman. The caregiver. The mom. The dog mom. The smart-but-busy human who just wants to know her family wonât fall apart if the lights go out or the grid gets weird.
And fellasâif youâre vibin' with all this, donât worry. Weâve got room for you too. And gosh, if you already know this stuff⌠please share the wisdom. Weâre all in this together.
I wanted to create something that makes prepping feel:
- Smart (not scary)
- Empowering (not overwhelming)
- Practical (and yes, maybe a little pink)
Here, youâll find:
- Straight-up survival tools that workâand donât look like you just joined a militia
- Checklists that make sense (like my 72-Hour Emergency Guide, because yes, you do need a backup charger and clean socks)
- A Stay Ready Circle thatâs inclusive, supportive, and a little bit sassy
I built Prep2Survive because if weâre going to survive the mess of the world (natural disasters, blackouts, zombie raccoons?), weâre gonna do it with wine in our go bag and a plan in our back pocket.
So no, Iâm not trying to scare you.

Thanks for being here. Now letâs get your kit together. đŞ
I didnât want my story to end with just âshe beat cancer.â I wanted a legacy of strength, purpose, and preparation.
Stay Ready,
Shelby
